Ladies and Gentlemen; You need to read all of these announcements so that you can stay informed. The grade that you receive at the end of the semester is a permanent grade and will be posted on your transcript.

Ladies and Gentlemen: All questions and issues about your grades have to be settled with me before I submit grades to the Registrar's office.

Ladies and Gentlemen: All assignments that you do not complete will be become zero grades and part of your final average. It would be to your advantage to finish all assignments and exams in your grade book

Exams are extended until Wednesday at 11:55 PM.

COURSE EVALUATION FORM IS POSTED    Posted: Dec 7, 2009
Ladies and Gentlemen: The Course Evaluation Form is posted. You are expected to complete this form. You will receive class participation points for completing this form, which falls into the category of 8% of your final grade. You need to email me to let me know that you have submitted the Course Evaluation so that I can confirm this by reviewing your activity tracking record. However, I will not know what your responses were.

THE POST EXAM IS POSTED    Posted: Dec 7, 2009
Ladies and Gentlemen: The post exam is now posted. Shaw University is requiring everyone to take this exam. In this class, you will receive class participation points for completing the exam, which falls into the category of 8% of your final grade. The exam, however, will not count for or against you. However, for students who show a significant improvement over the pre-exam score could receive up to the equivalent of a reading/writing assignment, which falls into the category of 25% of your final grade.

ALL LATE ASSIGNMENTS MUST BE IN BY SUNDAY, DECEMBER 6    Posted: Dec 5, 2009
Ladies and Gentlemen: Late assignments cannot be dated no later than Sunday December 6 by email. Also, you can not expect to get full credit for late assignments. Any set of assignments that show signs of copying will not be graded or the grade will be divided equally among the participants since it will be difficult to tell who did the original work.

Course Description
Taken by majors or non-majors, this course is a study of biology concepts such as cells, genetics, evolution, behavior and ecology, and plant and animal structure and function.
